Giroud,Ramsey,Elneny makes the scoresheet as Arsenal beats Wester Sydney 3-1

This is the post excerpt.

Arsenal fc on point as they beat Wester Sydney three goals to one on their second game of their pre season tour of Australia below is a rundown of how it happened

ArsenalOspina, Koscielny, Elneny, Monreal, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Iwobi, Lacazette, Giroud

Subs: Martinez, Mertesacker, Kolasinac, Bielik, Bramall, Coquelin, Willock, Nelson, Ozil, Nketiah, Walcott

A first start for Koscielny and Ramsey in this match. Maitland-Niles playing in the left wingback position and The Ox at the right hand side. Elneny playing in the centre of the defence means Wenger is having a look at this for an optional position in case all our central defenders get injured, are suspended or whatever disaster could happen to them. Kos and Monreal the others in the 3 man defence.  Giroud in the middle with Lacazette coming in from the left and Iwobi from the right.

Arsenal immediately with a first chance. Great dribbling from Lacazette going past 3 defenders but the keeper with a good low save. Arsenal continue the attack and a cross ends up in front of Ramsey who tries a volley but a defender blocks the effort. The Ox almost finding Giroud after a free kick from the left but Giroud can’t wrap his foot around the ball well enough to make a proper contact. Arsenal in control but no goals in the opening 15 minutes.

Monreal with a good attack on the left flank after a one-two pass with Lacazette. He finds Giroud with a low cross and he smashes the ball in the top of the net. GOAL! 1-0 to The Arsenal after 33 minutes. Monreal then with a great ball over the Western Sydney defense finds Ramsy who simply lobs the ball over the keeper with his left foot. GOAL!! 2-0 to The Arsenal after 37 minutes.  That is two assists for Monreal.

Arsenal win a corner after good work from Giroud. From the corner the ball comes to Iwobi who lays it back to Elneny who takes a shot from outside the penalty area that goes in. GOAL!!! 3-0 to the Arsenal after 44 minutes. It took a big deflection so certainly a lot of good fortune with this goal. But they all count.

Arsenal almost with another goal but Western Sydney can manage to block the effort from Giroud and then Monreal blasts the rebound over. 3-0 to  Arsenal at half time.

Martinez comes in goal for the second half.  Elneny again with a shot from outside the penalty area after a corner but this time no luck as his effort comes back from the crossbar and Giroud heads the rebound over. Western Sydney then have a chance but the shot also comes off the crossbar. Ramsey tries to play it back to Martinez who picks up the ball and an indirect free kick 6 meters out is the result. Western Sydney score in the rebound from the indirect free kick. 3-1 after 58 minutes.  But what a stupid mistake from Martinez, he should have kicked the ball from Ramsey away as he had enough room to do this. Elneny then with a too casual pass that gives a chance for Western Sydney to counter but the attackers run in an offside position so no further consequences.  3-1 after 60 minutes.Further Arsenal pressure but Western Sydney can clear the dangerous crosses from The Ox and Iwobi.  Arsenal prepare a massive pitch invasion from substitutes after some 65 minutes. Martinez with a good save on a shot from a Sydney player.

Mertesacker, Kolasinac, Bielik, Bramall, Coquelin, Willock, Nelson, Ozil, Nketiah, Walcott all enter the field after some 66 minutes.

A cross from Neslon finds Nketiah who tries to lay it off for a teammate. Could have gone for the shot himself. Welbeck with a cross/shot but nothing in the end. Walcott beating a few man in the middle of the park but his pass can’t find Nketiah. Walcott trying to place a shot but a fine save from the keeper. Willock with a great run through the middel but being pulled down. Özil with a great free kick against the post and Bielik missed the rebound from 6 meters out. Another (double) foul brings another free kick for Arsenal but this time the wall in the way but he crossed it again and Per all on his own headed in the arms of the keeper. It was with the back of his head and he could have controlled it as he was completely on his own. Nketiah with some good foot work to Özil who gave it to Walcott but a great save from the keeper on the low shot.  Nketiah with a shot after a pass from Özil but it crashes off the post…unlucky  and then Willock with a shot that curls just wide of the post. Özil again with a great pass to Walcott but again the keeper with a great save and then Nketiah is stoped at the last touch.

Arsenal win 3-1 and it really should have been a much higher score.

“Every marriage has its challenges and not even mine is Perfect,”- Mercy Johnson, says no one is assured of happily ever after

Mercy Johnson and Prince Odi may be made for each other, but the actress wants fans to know that their marriage is not without the usual rigours other couples endure.

The actress made this clarification after actor Uche Maduagwu dissed other women going through failed relationships, pitting Johnson’s marriage as the standard of what relationships should be.

According to the actor, Johnson’s marriage is successful because he thinks she is a ‘submissive’ wife.

Here’s what he said:

“You are a submissive wife and great mother @mercyjohnsonokojie Unlike some female celebs who disrespect their husbands mum, and destroy Properties…🔥🚗 You have shown to us all that you can actually be successful in your chosen career🎬, and at the same time be a responsible wife at home.👰🏽 Sometimes, we just complicate things for ourselves as women when we ignore the needful🏠. G** bless your Marriage dear,⛪”

Mercy Johnson disagrees with him.

“This is wrong on every level. Please don’t judge anyone until you walk in their shoes as our struggles are different,” she said. “No one is assured of a happily ever after but we all hope on G** for sustenance,” she added effectively putting him in his place.

“Every marriage has its challenges and not even mine is Perfect,” she finished.

This conversation comes at a time social media has been full of stories of failing celebrity marriages, the recent being the sad drama surrounding actress Mercy Aigbe’s marriage to hotelier, Lanre Gentry.

For Mercy Johnson and her husband Prince Odi, their unique relationship reaffirms that love conquers. Often, she showers her husband with praises, calls him the “air” she breathes, and 3 children later, the duo still maintain an enviable bond, inspiring their fans.

However, she admits their relationship is not perfect. She also chastised oversabis who are quick to judge women who walk away from abusive relationships.

Mayweather to Auction £3.6million Supercar

Mayweather to Auction £3.6million Supercar as Tax Storm Thickens - SPORTS

Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr is reportedly auctioning his £3.6million Koenigsegg Trevita in a bid to raise funds to clear his tax bill.

Famous for his lavish lifestyle, ‘Money’ Mayweather is now set to sell the 2010 Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita at this year’s Pebble Beach Auction in Monterey between August 16-19th in a desperate bid to avoid the taxman’s noose.

This follows stunning revelations early this month that the five-division boxing champion owes a considerable amount of money to the IRS for back dated taxes.

Reports claim the unbeaten pound-for-pound king owes £17m in taxes dating back to 2015 – the same year he carted home a $300m loot from the so-called ‘fight of the century’ with archrival, Manny Pacquiao.

He has reportedly requested an installment plan from the IRS to clear the tax bill until his mega-fight against UFC star Conor McGregor in which he is expected to earn upwards of £250m, The Sun writes.

Mayweather tried to sell the supercar in March – one of only two Koenigseggs made with the Diamond Weave exterior finish – but he received no interest in the only US-spec Koenigsegg.

The 40-year-old reportedly paid just under £3.7m for the car and has covered only 1,947 miles on the clock since its purchase in 2015.

It boasts a 4.8-litre, twin-supercharged V-8 engine that provides 1,018 horsepower – resulting in the car reaching hair-raising speeds of over 250mph (400km/h).

198 Nigerian deportees by Saudi Arabia arrive home

198 Nigerians deported by Saudi Arabia arrive home - NEWS

The Federal Government on Saturday received no fewer than 198 Nigerians illegally residing in Saudi Arabia at the Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, at about 10 a.m.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this number was out of the 1,800 Nigerians living illegally in Saudi Arabia, who were given amnesty to return to the country.

NAN reports that the 198 persons including women and children returned with their luggage on board a Med-View aircraft.

Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Kano received the first batch of the returnees.

Mohammed Yahaya-Sani, the Consular at the Nigerian Consulate in Jedda, Saudi Arabia, who led the illegal immigrants to Nigeria, told journalists at the airport that the Federal Government sponsored their return.

According to him, the illegal migrants voluntarily reported to the Nigerian Embassy to be returned to Nigeria in compliance with the three months evacuation notice issued to them by Saudi authorities, which will expire on July 24.

Mr. Yahaya-Sani said contrary to speculations, the returnees were not deported, rather they voluntarily accepted the amnesty offer granted them by the Saudi authorities for illegal immigrants to leave the country.

“They decided on their own to return to Nigeria. The Saudi authorities offered amnesty to all illegal immigrants to leave the country within three months,” he said.

The official handed over the returnees to NEMA officials at the airport who witnessed and documented their returns before they later departed to their various towns and villages.

The after effect of tour de france as revealed by Pawel Pojanski

Pic: Paweł Poljański

Most people can imagine how tough competing in a 2,200 mile cycle race must be.

But the physical toll on one athlete’s body has been laid bare in a shocking photo.

Polish cyclist Pawel Poljanski posted a picture of his sun-frazzled, vein-popping legs after day 18 of the competition.

“After sixteen stages I think my legs look little tired,” he wrote in the post on Instagram.

The rider for German team Bora-Hansgrohe is currently 75th in the general classification, having finished the latest stage one minute and 43 seconds behind winner Michael Matthews.

His snap concerned fans, including one who wrote: “That can’t be healthy.”

Elite cyclists get such tight-looking veins because they pump double the blood flow to their legs compared to recreational exercisers, a biomedical scientist explained

Dr Bradley Launikonis from the University of Queensland told ABC: “The amount of blood that we get normally going down to our legs is five litres per minute, for anyone at rest.

“For an untrained athlete, their maximum exercise will have 20 litres per minute flowing through the muscles.

“One of these elite cyclists will have double that, about 40 litres per minute. They have massive volumes of blood moving through.

“There’s a high level of blood being pushed into his legs for long periods of time, and it’s still in there post-exercise.”

Poljanski is not the first top cyclist to post a picture revealing that fact.

In 2014, Team Sky’s Chris Froome – who is leading the current tour – displayed similarly bulging veins.

Range Rover Designe Director,Gerry McGovern calls out Victoria Beckham for claiming she designed the new Range Rover VB Evoque

The controversy surrounding the new brand from Range Rover director,Gerry McGovern and wife of veteran footballer,Victoria Beckham is something to look at as the drama surfaces since 2012.

Victoria Beckham has been called out by the design director at Land Rover after she claimed she designed a special edition of the Range Rover for her husband David Beckham.

At the launch of a special VB Evoque, the former Spice Girl claimed: “I’ve designed a car that I want to drive, a car I think David wants to drive.”

This claim incensed Gerry McGovern, the real designer, and he addressed it at a public event last week. He accused Victoria of exaggerating the part she played in creating the car.

He said: “She didn’t design the car… I’ve forgotten more than that woman will ever know about (car) designing – to be a car designer takes years. When we went to China to present it, she stood up in front of the world’s press and said, ‘When I designed this car…’ I said, ‘Victoria, that wasn’t on the script.’ She said, ‘Oh, I didn’t realise what I was saying.’ ”

McGovern’s annoyance goes back to a time in 2012 when Victoria Beckham was asked to create a version of the Evoque with “restrained colour and detail changes”, as the company explained. But not to “change the award-winning design”. The £80,000 Range Rover Evoque featured matt paintwork, vintage-inspired leather seats, rose gold accents inspired by Mrs Beckham’s watch, mohair trimmings and a leather luggage set.

“We never said she designed the car – that’s an assumption people made,” added Mr McGovern.

In one interview, Victoria Beckham had said: “I wanted to really roll my sleeves up and get involved. I never just put my name on anything… I was very hands-on.”

McGovern said that after she made that claim he “didn’t want to work with her after that.”

Land Rover said: “The three-year project was completed in full by both parties and was a huge creative success around the world. Mrs Beckham remains part of the Land Rover family.” see photos of the new whip below:

One word for this baby.
